Terms of Service
Effective date: July 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of Outbox, a macOS application developed by Chris Maury ("we", "us"). By using Outbox you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Outbox is a native macOS application that connects to your Gmail account (read-only) and your macOS calendar, records and transcribes meetings, and uses AI to help you manage tasks, notes, and follow-ups. Outbox is a client application: it does not provide email, calendar, or AI services itself, and your use of Gmail, iCloud, and any AI provider remains governed by those companies' own terms and policies.
2. Your account and responsibilities
- You may only connect Google accounts that you own or are authorized to use.
- AI features require an AI provider API key that you supply; you are responsible for that key and for any usage and charges associated with it.
- You are responsible for complying with applicable law when recording meetings, including obtaining consent from participants where required.
- You may not use Outbox for any unlawful purpose.
3. Privacy
Outbox processes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Outbox's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Intellectual property
Outbox and its branding are the property of the developer. Gmail and Google are trademarks of Google LLC; Outbox is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
Outbox is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI-generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed before you rely on it. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will remain compatible with the services it connects to.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost data, lost profits, or missed communications — arising from your use of Outbox.
7. Changes and termination
We may update the app and these terms from time to time; the current terms will always be posted on this page with their effective date. You can stop using Outbox at any time by removing your accounts and deleting the app, and you may revoke its access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
