Terms of Service
Effective date: July 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of Keymail, a macOS email client developed by Chris Maury ("we", "us"). By using Keymail you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Keymail is a native macOS application that lets you read, organize, and send email through your own Gmail account(s), and view and manage your Google Calendar, using Google's official APIs. Keymail is a client only: it does not provide email service itself, and your use of Gmail and Google Calendar remains governed by Google's own terms and policies.
2. Your account and responsibilities
- You may only connect Google accounts that you own or are authorized to use.
- You are responsible for the content of email you send through Keymail and for complying with applicable law, including anti-spam laws.
- You may not use Keymail to send unsolicited bulk email or for any unlawful purpose.
3. Privacy
Keymail processes your data locally on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. Keymail's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Intellectual property
Keymail and its branding are the property of the developer. Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google are trademarks of Google LLC; Keymail is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
Keymail is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will remain compatible with Google's APIs.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost data, lost profits, or missed communications — arising from your use of Keymail.
7. Changes and termination
We may update the app and these terms from time to time; the current terms will always be posted on this page with their effective date. You can stop using Keymail at any time by removing your accounts and deleting the app, and you may revoke its access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
